Upcoming NHS Events
Joining our chapter

National Honor Society is a national organization that recognizes students who excel in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Students will be invited to apply for NHS membership their junior and/or senior year if they have a cumulative GPA of 3.65 or higher.

If you have been invited to apply and need the Google Form, click here. The Google form needs to be completed by November 22nd (the last day before Thanksgiving break). Once you have completed the Google Form, Miss Krstulic will email you the written portion of the application. The written portion is due to Miss Krstulic by December 8th.

How will you decide who gets in to NHS?

The NHS application and evaluation process will be undertaken by a Faculty Council of five members. Each student's application will be reviewed and applicants will be scored based on the following point guidelines

GPA

+1 for GPA over 3.85 +2 for 4.0 GPA

Course Load Difficulty

+.5 for each college course/AP class completed

Teacher Surveys

Teachers will give each student scores out of 5 for leadership, service, and character based on their application materials. These scores will be averaged to create a score out of 5 points

The NHS Council will meet after all applications are submitted, review candidates' applications, create a cut score, and will use that cut score to determine who is inducted into NHS.
